The Tastiest Chilli Ever


You can make this with braising beef instead of minced beef to ring the changes but the cooking time will be double.

Serves 4 hungry people

You will need:

1 pack Bite Me Spices Chilli Mix

1 large onion, finely chopped
1 bay leaf
3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
700g minced beef
50g cooking chorizo, finely chopped
150ml beef stock
150ml glass of red wine

400g tin tomatoes

1 tbsp tomato puree
3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tin borlotti or pinto beans
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped fresh coriander to serve (optional)


  • Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large frying pan. Add the chopped onion and a bay leaf and cook on a medium heat for a few minutes, stirring occasionally until golden. Add the chopped garlic and cook for a further 2 minutes.

  • Add the mince or braising beef and cook until browned. Add the Spice Mix (Our chillies pack a punch. If you like it very mild, use 1/2 the pack). Stir well.

  • Add all the remaining ingredients, cover with a lid and simmer on a low heat for 1 hour.

  • Season to taste and serve.
